Basic Sound Level Meters for Noise at Work
For a basic noise at work survey in areas where the noise levels are
not extreme (generally less than 90 dB), you can make the noise assessment
using a Class 2 Integrating Sound Level Meter. For such surveys
a meter that gives an immediate reading on the display is ideal. Download
to a computer can be available as an option, but should not be an essential
part of the process.
It is also sometimes useful to have a low cost meter available for making
quick checks as keeping an expensive Integrating meter in your
toolbox may not be an option. However, it is very important that a full
survey is made using a Class 2 Integrating Sound
Level Meter and the low cost meter is only used for additional on-site

NM102 Sound

A low cost sound level meter to keep in your toolbox for
quick sound level checks when an Integrating meter is not
handy. This meter is very quick and easy to use, with an auto-ranging
display, so all you do is switch on and make a sound level reading.
Although ideal for quick checks (and certainly better than doing
it by ear), this type of meter should not be used for a full noise
survey, which should be done with at least a Class 2 Integrating
Sound Level Meter.

CEL244 Noise Measurement
Kit with Class 2 Integrating Sound Level Meter - €1137,00
This Noise Measurement Kit includes all the items that
you need to make a basic occupational noise survey. The CEL244 Sound
Level Meter is the correct grade and is calibrated to the national
standards. The kit also includes a Calibrator, which is required
by the noise at work regulations.
The meter gives immediate reading of the LAeq. Data logging is an option with this meter and
can be bought at the same time or at a later date.
Please note that this meter does not measure the LCPeak ("C" weighted Peak sound level) and so is not suitable for assessing environments with loud bangs.
